RIVER MYSTERY.

Four Men Missing on Unlucky Launch. FEARS OF A TRAGEDY. (Received 10.30 a.m.) SYDNEY, this day. Another mystery- similar to that in which the Thompson brothers were concerned is reported from the same locality in connection with the same launch. Four men who engaged the craft to go fishing in the Hawkesbury River are missing. An intensive search is being carried out. The men engaged the boat on Saturday morning. High seas and bad weather have prevailed since then. Grave fears are entertained for the men's safety. They had intended to return the 'launch on Saturday afternoon. A motor car belonging to one of the men and some of their clothing remains unclaimed at the launch proprietor's sheds. Police believe that the missing men are either drowned or else sheltering on Lion Island, near the mouth of the Hawkesbury River, which cannot be approached at present because of heavy seas. The missing men, who are all senior employees of the Columbia Grapophone Company (Australia), Limited, are George Horan, aged 42; William Haines, 32; James Brownsdon, 40; and Sydney Maigre, 40.
