CABARET TRAGEDY.
FOUR KILLED IN FIRE. SAN FRANCISCO, May 14." A girl attendant in a cloak-room and three other persons were killed in an early morning panic which followed a fire in a cabaret. An entertainer was performing a dance with a burning torch in each hand and a patron of the cabaret attempted to light a cigarette from one of them. The dancer jerked the torch away, and in doing so, ignited papier in ache decorations. In a moment the room was in flames. The four victims were crushed to death in the rush for the exit, and nine other persons were injured.
