FOR SAILING SHIP.
Captain-Owner Appeals for Salvage Funds. TRAIN BRITISH CADETS. (Received 12.30 p.m.) LONDON, May 14. Appealing for public subscriptions Captain Erikson, Finnish ownerskipper of the world's largest sailing vessel, the Herzogin Cecilie, now wrecked on the English Channel coast, declares that the ship could be saved. Only lack of money, he says, is keeping lier on the rocks.
If the public responds he will guarantee to take at least six British appren tices each year without charge.
