LEAGUE OF MOTHERS.
NO. 3, REMUERA. At the monthly meeting of the third rtemuera brancli of the League of Mothers Mrs. Wright introduced Mrs. Hirst and Mrs Babbipgton, who spoke on "The Maori Race" and "Maori Social Problems." The speakers pointed out that as the pakelia had deprived the Maoris of everything it was their responsibility to render assistance in putting the Maori on a better footing in regard to housing and education. Mrs. Wigg provided the thought for the month and vocal solos were rendered by Mrs. Kevin were much appreciated. TAKAPUNA. A' meeting of the Takapuna branch of the League of Mothers was lieid recently in the Memorial Hall, with Mrs. Reynolds acting as president. The thought for the day was given by Mrs. Francis. The hostesses for the afternoon were: Mesdames Hume, Sinclair, C. Arthur and T. Arthur. A talk was given by Mrs. Everton on her experiences and impressions of a trip to California and the South Sea Islands.
