ARREST OF KIDNAPPER.

(Received 9.30 a.m.) NEW ORLEANS, May 3. Alvin Karpis, for whom the Department of Justice has searched for three years, was captured by a squad of "G men" led personally by Mr. J. Edgar Hoover. Not a single shot was exchanged in making the arrest. Karpis was wanted on charges of the kidnapping of William Hamm and E G. Bremer, two millionaires. A gangster named Fred Hunter, who is wanted by the police 011 charges of bank robbery, and an unidentified woman were captured with him.
