As the outcome of negotiations now proceeding, tile dredge Korua, owned by the Gisborne Harbour Board, imi'f be disposed of to, an Australian port authority. Tile board lias stated its terms for the sale of the Korua, and tile Australian party to the negotiations is jt6w securing ail estimate of the cost of building a new dredge for comparison with the figure. quoted for the Korua. The'total cost of the dredge to the Australian party is about £14,000. Delivery of.the vessel Is to be given at Auckland "*i seagoing order.
