ALL CUTS RESTORED. TRANSPORT BOARD STAFF. INCREASES IN PAY. After discussion in committee the Auckland Transport Board this morning decided that all remaining cuts'on wages and salaries of employees of the board be restored as from April 1 last. The amount involved will be approximately £000 annually. The board als6 agreed to grant increases in pay to certain members of the staff, involving about £500 annually, a total of £1100.

To those employees receiving £300 or under the cuts had previously been restored, but this morning's decision makes the restoration apply to all, irrespective of the amount of the salaries received.

In regard to the autipmatic increasing of salaries, which system has obtained in the past, the method in future will be to determine the on merit and ability.
