FRANKLIN ASSOCIATION.
Delegates from the Pukekolie, Manukau, Papakura and Waiuku Clubs were present at the annual meeting of the Franklin Golf Association, held at Pukekolie, when the following officers were elected :—President, Mr. L. R. Jordan ;' secretary, Mr. H. T. Moore; auditor, Mr. M. S. Campbell; selectors-, Messrs. Jordan and C. G. Johnson.
September 5 was fixed as the date for the Franklin championship tournament, to be held on the Pukekohe course. Entries are to be accepted from as many as 80 players, compared with 60 last year. Arrangements were made for Franklin to play Titlrangl at Pukekohe on August 23 and at Titirangi on September 27. Dates were also accepted for Franklin to play Hamilton at Pukekohe, May 31, and at Hamilton, August 2. It was decided that the opening match for the Franklin Teams' Challenge Cup this season should he between Manukau and Papakura on the Manukau course on May 17 and that subsequent piny should be on June 7, June 28 and July 19.
Permission for affiliated clubs to hold orvn tournaments was given to Manukau, King's Birthday: Papakura, King's Birthday: "Onewliero. .Tuly 11: Waikare, September 13 ; Pukekohe, Labour Day.
