OBITUARY.
MR. FRANK PUCKEY.
St. Mark's Church, Remuera, was well filled on Sunday afternoon, when the vicar, the Rev. P. Houghton, conducted the funeral service for the late Mr. Frank Puckey, who had been connected with the parish as choir member and vestryman for a long period. Mr. Puckey was the last of the long line of the Puckey family, which had been so intimately connected with the early history of Kaitaia. He leaves a widow, who before her marriage was Miss G. Robinson.
MR. HENRY GOWER.
Advice lias been received from Melbourne of the death of Mr. Henry Gower, who was well-known' in the Auckland drapery trade. He came to New Zealand from Tonbridge, Kent, over 40 years ago and joined the staff of Smith and Caugliey, Ltd. Some yeara later Mr. Gower commenced business in Queen Street in the firm of McCullough and Gower on the site where the Majestic Theatre now stands. When he went to Melbourne Mr. Gower joined the firm of Russell, Robson and Russell, of Bourke Street. Some seven years ago the firm sold their Bourke Street property and Mr. Gower retired. He leaves a widow, one son and two daughters.
