FRUIT EMBARGO.
Australia to Again Approach New Zealand. REMOVAL SOUGHT. (Received 11 a.m.) SYDNEY, this day. Representatives of the Australian fruitgrowers asked the Minister of Commerce, Mr. H. V. Thorby, to make a fresh effort to have the New Zealand embargo against Australian fruits lifted. They pointed out that the Dominion now is importing citrus fruits from other countries.
Mr. Thorby replied that the Government would again ask the New Zealand Government to admit fruit certified free from disease.
