MOUNT EDEN COMPETITORS.
VISITORS WIN MANY RACES.
The principal attraction at the carnival run on Saturday night by the Whangarei Swimming Club was the visit of a contingent of swimmers from the Moun. Eden Club, comprising four ladies and 13 men, who were accompanied by four omcials. The performances of these noted swimmers were watched with much interest, and those to impress most were Frank ham, Hanan, A. . C. Bagnall, W. Johnson and Berry (diver). The big event of the night was the Whangarei-Monnt Eden men s relay fo.. the Geo. Gillett rose bowl. It was a t splendid dual, but thanks to brilliant sprinting by Frankham and Hanan in paiticular, the Auckland combination clmcherl victory by four yards, to become initial holders of the trophy. An inter-club ladies' race of four-a-side gave the metropolitans the double. The men's 220 yds event incorported the "Northland championsip. lhis , actually won by Frankham, Hut as he was not eligible to hold tile title the honour went to Morris, who also won the Men's 220 Yards North Auckland Championship and 220 Yards Handicap Combined.—W.
