FIRE FIGHTING.
NEW LONDON STATION. FlfilEST IN THE WORLD. FASCINATING DISPLAYS. (From Our Own Correspondent.) LONDON, February 21. Early next year London hopes to be in possession of the finest fire station in the world. Building of this, the headquarters of the London Fire Brigade, on the Albert Embankment, is already well advanced. It will embody tiie best features of all the big European fire brigade headquarters, which wore inspected before the plans were drawn up. Every device for the scientific combating of lires and for the treatment of fire victims will be housed there. There will be large workshops, -vhere now devices can be tested, and a lecture hall and training school, which will be attended by all London's firemen. In addition 1000 pfcoplo will be able to watch every week special public displays of fire-fighting given by the brigade. These, I can promise, are among the most fascinating and thrilling performances to be seen in London.
