MAYOR'S MESSAGE.
j DANNEVIRKE RESOLUTION. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) DANNEVIRKE, this day. The Dannevirke Borough Council at a special meeting resolved that the Mayor, Mr. E. Gibbard, should forward the following telegram to the Prime Minister, the Hon. M. J. Savage: "My fellow councillors and citizens join in wishing to tender to His Majesty King Edward VIII., Queen Mary and all the members of the Royal Family our deepest sympathy in the death of our late beloved Sovereign and join with the nation in the universal sorrow for the great loss that the Empire has sustained."
