FAMOUS ORCHESTRA.
THE BAND THAT JACK BUILT,
. It is a long way from a pierrot troupe in a small North Wales seaside resort to the Philharmonic in Berlin, or - the Opera House in Paris, but Jack Hylton has travelled this road since he was 13 years old, when he was a vocalist and pianist in a pierrot troupe. Four years later lie was conducting pantomimes and revues. He first founded his own band after the war, and has since developed it until Jack Hylton's Band is now recognised as being the finest sta<*e band in England. ° Jack was the first band leader to arrange classical music for dancing his first experiment being made with the Peer Gynt Suite by Greig. • He is recognised on the Continent and in America not merely as a jazz band leader, but as a fin© musician and a serious orchestrater of intelligent music. In order to build up a band that could play the type of music for which he is now famous, Jack could not merely depend on the average dance band instrumentalists. His present band consists of real musicians drawn from nearly every country of the world, whose talent and versatility will be heard to full advantage when "She Shall Have Music" is released by British Dominion Films.
