Alchemic is in the Earle Stakes on the second day at Wanganui, and the distapcc should suit him. He has won on the track previously. Ruaform and March Alone figure 111 the hurdle events at Wanganui, and both are in good order. March Alone jumped better than Ruaform in their last schooling bout, and has improved since his /success at Stratford. , , , ■ Ingenuity, who promised well early, but failed to ehow any of her last year's form, is again working well. 'McGregor Grant, of Auckland, and is now in R. Mateer's stable at Matamata. Royal Dispute has j)lenty of size, and is a splendid jumper. He is down to make his first appearance in a hurdle race at the Matamata meeting. He has had a couple of runs on the flat, but failed to race prominently, though he should be an excellent prospect for steeplecliaging.
