Fryer has had trouble with Supreme Court on the eve of two recent meetings, ibut his soreness has worn off, and is galloping well in his work again. llie maiden race at Wanganui should see him opening his winning account for liis'owner. Not a robust horse, Alchemic showed the effects of the holiday racing, but taken easily he has freshened up, and now looks in better order than before Christmas, and is showing good track form. Alchemic is in the Earle Stakes on the second day at Wanganui, and the distapcc should suit him. He has won on the track previously. Ruaform and March Alone figure 111 the hurdle events at Wanganui, and both are in good order. March Alone jumped better than Ruaform in their last schooling bout, and has improved since his /success at Stratford. , , , ■ Ingenuity, who promised well early, but failed to ehow any of her last year's form, is again working well. She is nicely placed in; : the distance hack race at Wanganui. . The six-year-old gelding Royal Dispute, by- Cynic—Solemnity, wlio until recently was und&r o.'j Cox's "care, has been sold to Mrs. A. 'McGregor Grant, of Auckland, and is now in R. Mateer's stable at Matamata. Royal Dispute has j)lenty of size, and is a splendid jumper. He is down to make his first appearance in a hurdle race at the Matamata meeting. He has had a couple of runs on the flat, but failed to race prominently, though he should be an excellent prospect for steeplecliaging.
