COMING OF AGE PARTY.
A very enjoyable party was given on Wednesday evening by. Mr. and Mrs. P. Walsh at their residence, Calgarv | Street, Mount Eden, to celebrate the 1 coming of age of their only daughter, Lorraine. The evening passed pleasantly with musical items and games. A delicious supper was served and the .guest of honour was presented with a gold .wristlet watch, a gift from her parents. Her brother, Mr. Peter Walsh, presented his sister with a gold key. Speeches were made by Mr. F. Young and Mr. 11. * Parry, and Mr. P. Walsh replied on behalf of his daughter. A beautiful birthday cake was the gift of Mrs. Denton, grandmother of Miss I Walsh; Mrs. Walsh received her guests wearing electric blue figured crepe suede. Miss Walsh wore a white sand crepe with gold relief.
Among the guests were:—Mesdames Rabe, Denton, F. Young, H. Agnew, A. Smith, R. Shepherd, W. Cole, Misses N. Allen, J. Smith, P. Smith, M. Smith.
