YOUNG MAN FOR TRIAL. (Received 9.30 a.m.) SYDNEY, this day. At the Casino Court, William Connor, solicitor's clerk, aged 18, was committed for trial on a charge of "effecting a public mischief by making a false statement to tlje police that he had been kidnapped and robbed of £30 earlier in the week."

The youth, is alleged to have informed the police last Saturday on his return to Sydney that on the previous Monday, while in possession of £30 of his employer's money, lie was taken away in a motor car, robbed and finally released in the north coast town of Casino. A friendly motorist gave him a lift back to town.
