TOURNEY DURING HOLIDAYS. . - - .y ' ' • The/ -North Shore Golf Club's annual summer'"tournament' "promises to be a most one this year, and the entries, which close on Friday, .next, indicate that there .'•will be' a representative entry. Numerous golfers wlio are spending a, holiday in Auckland Will compete. The tourney commences on Boxing Day, December 27, and 7will be continued during the next ■day.": Friday, and the following • Monday. .The programme''includes a championship and handicap events. Two qualifying rounds for the former will be played 011 the opening day, and the sixteen leading competitors will then be drawn in match play. The, second sixteen in the qualifying rounds will contest the North Shore handicap, under handicap match play conditions. For those who do not'qualify in either of these events there will be a bogey and medal contests 011 Saturday, and a Stablefortl. and four-ball bogey on Monday.
