MILK DISTRIBUTION.

"DISGUSTING CONDITIONS." SUPPLY TO SCHOOLS. "The conditions under which milk is being distributed in some schools is, to say the least, disgusting and not at all conducive to the better health of the children. I just mention this as a warning that we want to bo careful how wo proceed in this matter," said Mr. A. T. Dow, at last night's meeting of the Mount Eden Borough Council.

Mr. Dow's remarks- were made following the receipt of letters from the headmasters of the Mount Eden, Maungawhau and Brixton Road schools, advising that they were of opinion that until a satisfactory scheme of distribution was evolved they preferred not to have milk distributed in their schools.

Mr. Dow said the milk should be distributed in sealed bottles. The present method of distribution was no good to anyone.
