CHRISTMAS CONCERT.

A concert, organised by Mr. A. Hamblin for the purpose of raising funds to provide a Christmas tree for poor children in the Auckland Hospital, was held recently in the Waimauku Hall. A varied programme of vocal and humorous items and several exhibitions of tap-dancing were much appreciated. Contributing artists were: Mrs. Ernest Asher, Misses A'lta Copeland, Joyce Chapman, Mavis Bradshaw, Ngaire Kerr Taylor, Nancy Couglilan and Messrs. S. Stephenson, F. McKnight, "Uncle Jim," R. and G. Coughlan, R. Kerr Taylor. The accompanists were Madam Dunn and Mrs. Coughlan, who also supplied music for the dance which followed.
