I BRINSDEN WINS. CLUB GOLF SUPREMACY. CHAMPION OF CHAMPIONS. The annual champion of champions golf contest was played at Otahuhu yesterday, and an interesting contest resulted in a win for H. Brinsden, Titirangi. In the afternoon he had a splendid round of 71, one better than the scratch score of the course, and this gave him a four-stroke advantage with an aggregate of 146. In the first half of the 36-hole medal contest, L. Bryant, the young Akarana player, did best with a 74, one better than Brinsden and E. L. Bartleet, and the local player, H. W. Bell. Brinsden reached the turn in bogey figures and turned on a brilliant home run of 33, against the scratch figures of 34. In the morning Bryant came home in 35, and, though he repeated this at his next attempt, he lost his chances by making mistakes on the outward half, which took him 41.
