FOURTH ANNUAL SOCIAL. Decorated with golden and yellow Iceland poppies, McKenzie's Tearooms presented an attractive sight on Saturday night when the Auckland School Committees' Association held its fourth annual social. Gemmell, who sang; Mrs. R. Reed, who played pianoforte solos; and Mr. Alan McElwain, who provided humour. Duets were sung by Mr. Frank Sutherland and Mr. W. Gemmell, and an exhibition of magic was given by Mr. H. Withers. The accompanist was Mrs. R. Reed. The presentation of an enlarged photograph of the executive and a kitbag was made during the evening to Mr. Walter Dixon, former secretary and treasurer of the association, by Mr. W. W.
