OPENING OF SEASON.

Debut of Brixton—Manukau Open Well — Wood Bats Brilliantly for Roskill—Average Scoring on Slow Wickets.

The twenty-third season of the Auckland City ami Suburban Cricket Association opened this afternoon under perfect conditions, the wickets, however, being rather on the slow side, but ns good as could be expected ns the result of recent spring rains.
