WEDDING IN SUVA.
LAKE—WAITERS. SUVA, October 25. The wedding took place at Holy Trinity Cathedral, Suva, when Barbara Frances, youngest daughter of Mr. and ■the late Mrs.' R.. Watters, of Auckland, was married to Sydney, only son of Mrs. and the late Mr. S. H. Lake, of Auckland. The Venerable Archdeacon Harris officiated. The bride was given away by the Mayor, the Hon. Alport Barker, M.L.C., while Mr. R. C. MacPherson acted, as best man. The bride wore a costume of apple green flat crepe, with a shady white hat, and carried a shower bouquet of roses, eucharist lilies, astere, and forget-me-nots. Mrs. F. Ryan (nee Miss M. Barker) attended the bride as matron of honour, wearing a frock of pale and royal blue flat crepe, with hat tone. The wedding ring was made of Tavua gold. On the previous Monday the staff of the "Fiji Times and Herald" gathered, when Mr. Barker presented Mr. Lake with several pieces of crystal ware, Mr. and Mrs. Lake motored out to Tailevu for the honeymoon, after a reception at-the Hotel Metropole.
