OPEN DOOR MISSION.
Another enjoyable weekly free concert and community sing for the unemployed was held last evening at the Open Door Mission, Albert Street, city. The mission hall was tastefully decorated for the occasion, and a varied programme of music, instrumental numbers and humour arranged by Neville Carlsen was enthusiastically received by a large audience. At the conclusion the thanks of the audience were conveyed by the missioner, Mr. I. A. Pollard, and supper was served. The concert party comprised: Mrs. Jas. Marr, Misses Joan Power, Betty Lelean, Gloria Lelean, Messrs. Jack McCarthy, Alf Stentiford, E. Parkinson, Albert Parkinson, Neville Carlsen and Master Jack Carlsen.
