f TENDERS FOR NEW FITTINGS. r I Tenders have been received by the ' Auckland Electric Power Board for a quantity of street lighting fittings of tho . holophano directional and symmetrical I type which are to be used by the Auck- , land City Council for the conversion of certain existing fittings and the erection of new lamps. The general manager of the board, Mr. I R. H. Bartley, stated this morning that it was the opinion of the City Council that the new fittings were superior in many ways to many of the earlier types of directional fittings and produced very ' much better street lighting effects. i
