THE TRIUMPH GLORIA.

REMARKABLE PERFORMANCE. LIVELY ACCELERATION. Winner of two Monte Carlo road races, the Alpine Trial and tlie Liegc-Ronie-Leige road race of 4500 kilometres, the new Triumph Gloria has proved itself to lie an English car capable of remarkable performances. A road test carried out yesterday by the "Star" proved that the latest six-cylinder car will do all that is claimed for it and a little bit more. To handle the new Triumph Gloria is a delight and when cruising along one lias the impression that one is at the wheel of a genuine sports model. Lively acceleration, with a remarkably smooth motor makes the car a pleasure to drive and the pneumatic upholstery of the adjustable bucket seat makes the driver's position exceptionally comfortable. One of the many unusual features of, the car is the fact that the" steering wheel is adjustable for angle as well as length. All the controls are within easy reach and the short remote-control gear-lever is operated with the.greatest of ease. A free-wheeling device enables clutches gear changes to be made. The car can be driven into corners at high speed with confidence, for it has excellent stability. The specifications and performance of the 10 h.p. four-door Triumph Gloria saloon follow:— Engine.—Six-cylinder, overhead inlet, side exhausts, push rod operated, bore and stroke 05 x 100 m.m. K.A.C., rating 15.72, capacity 1991 c.c., battery ignition, automatic and manual advance and retard, four-bearing balanced crankshaft, single-plate clutch.
