AUCKLAND RACES.
MUNGATOON'S MEMORIAL ASTARTH TAKES THE EPSOM. ERINATION AGAIN SCORES IN HURDLES. The weather is fine, though dull, for the termination of the Auckland Racing Club's spring meeting. A shower fell during the morning but did not adversely affect the track, which again is in good order. There is a fair attendance. Mazir, the opening favourite, was victorious in the Normanby Handicap over the little-fancied Ljght Comedy and Bantry second in demand. Ennation completed a double by beating Delrain and Red bun in the Manukau Hurdles. 11 Astarth a "d S tar Artist paid the dividends in the Epsom Handicap, in which Jonathan finished third. In the principal event, the King Edward Memorial, Mungatoon was too good for Kiltowyn and King Rey.
