"NIGGER JAZZ."
Eradicated from German Radio Programmes. DENOUNCED AS JEWISH. (Received 2 p.m.> LONDON, October 13. "Herewith I pronounce final interdict on the 'nigger jazz' over the whole of German wireless," said Herr Hadamovsky, chief of Reich broadcasting, addressing a conference of radio directors, states "The Times" Munich correspondent. The prohibition merely standardises the recent developments but while a Nazi antagonism to jazz has hitherto been based 011 the allegation that it expresses a primitive culture of an inferior race, Herr Hadamovsky denounced it as Jewish, although for unspecified reasons.
A censorship lias been established to examine German dance music in order to eliminate even "disguised jazz."
