Flying Officer David Llewellyn, son of Sir William Llewellyn, the famous portrait painter and president of the Royal Academy, accompanied by Mrs. Jill Wyndham, whom he taught to fly, is attempting to beat Mrs. Amy Mollison's record flight of four days six hours to the Cape. He reached Marseilles in five hours, and left immediately for Brindisi, where he arrived at 6.45 p.m. yesterday. He took off for Cairo immediately.
