CHRISTCHURCH TO-DAY. BUSINESS IS MODERATE. (By Telegraph—Special to. "Star.") CHRISTCHURCH, this day. Business was moderate this morning, with values fairly steady, compared with last week. A notable feature was the continued demand at firm rates for metal stocks. Among the banks Commercials main' tained their recent activity, with sales and buyers at 16/6, and sellers at 16/7. New Zealands are still easy, between .£2 9/ and £2 9/10. Breweries are quiet but steady, the market for New Zealands showing buyers at £2 10/6 and sellers £2 11/3. Tooth's have buyers at £2 14/10, with sellers 6d away. Anthony Hordern rose to a sale of 19/2. with sellers at that figure. Other miscellaneous issues are at about late rates, but Broken Hill "rights" are easier, closing quotations being from 18/9 to 19/. Mining dealings were again restricted, but there were a few bettor quotations!
