ONEHUNGA ORPHANS.
The Onehunga Orplians' Club held the final meeting of the season on Saturday night in the Orphans' Hall. Mr. S. Vella, who presided, was presented with a birthday cake, as he celebrated the anniversary of his birth on Saturday. The toast to the chairman was drunk with musical honours, coupled with congratulations on the succecssful opening of the bowling season at Onehunga, of which club Mr. Vella is president. Visitors were present from Auckland, Tamaki and Papakura Orphans' Clubs. A capital programme of musical and elocutionary items was presented. Oil the motion of the president, Mr. L. Bray, the artists were accorded a hearty vote of thanks. Mr. Bray received a vote of thanks in return for his services as president. - Mr. J. A. C. Allum responded on behalf of the visitors.
