RECEPTION AT BISHOP'S LODGE.

A delightful At Home was given by Archbishop and Mrs. Averill at Bishop's Lodge, Howick, on Saturday afternoon, when the clergy in the Auckland diocese who are attending Synod were entertained. The guests were delighted with the magnificent views of country and harbour and the perfect spring weather added to the enjoyment of the afternoon. Tea was served in a marquee on the lawn. Assisting the Archbishop and Miis. Averill in entertaining the guests were Mrs. W. W. Averill and Mrs. L. E. Cartridge.
