INJURED IN FALLS.

Two men were taken to the Auckland Hospital as the result of falls on Saturday. Mr. Charles Maclean, aged 78, a retired schoolmaster, fractured his leg when he fell at his home at 7, Bowling Avenue, Epsom.

A jockey, Ashley Jenkins, aged 28, married, of Opaki Bond, Masterton, fell heavily from Clarion Call at the second fence in the Hunters' Steeplechase at Ellerslie. and fractured his collarbone. He was taken to the hospital, but was able to leave later.
