MT. EDEN COUNCIL REPORT.
MEMBERS WANT PARTICULARS.
The suggestion that fuller details would liave been appreciated was made by two members of the Mount Eden Borough Council last night when the council received the account for £17 17/ for the report by Mr. G. W. Hutchison, a report which has given rise to considerable discussion at meetings of the council in connection with the disrating of Mr. H. Gribblc from the position of town clerk.
Mr. S. E. Chappell said Mr. Hutchison had been engaged by the council at £7 '7/ a day, but had not put in more than three hours at the council's offices.
The Mayor: Mr. Hutchison put tli time in all right. He did a lot of wor making inquiries.
Mr. W. Gatenby said he did not suggest for a moment that the charge of £17 17/ was not justified, but thought that some detail of the work done should have been supplied. The account was passed for payment.
