"HIGH JINKS" TO-MORROW.
MUSICAL COMEDY AT HIS MAJESTY'S. Being staged to-night for the last time, the J.C. Williamson, Ltd., musical comedy company's highly successful play "Roberta" is to be followed to-morrow night by an equally sparkling entertainment, "High Jinks," which was one of the company's most popular productions in Sydney and Melbourne. There is something of a remarkable .record associated with this delightful play, for no fewer than eleven famous librettists, composers and authors had a share in its production. The story was written by Otto Harbach, the score composed by Rudolph Friml, and the adaptation to the English stage made by Frederick Lonsdale. Additional numbers were composed by Paul Rubens, .Jerome Kern, Howard Talbot, and James W. Tate. The result is a musical comedy full of sparkle, tunefulness and variety, characteristic of the best work of the most notable writers and composers the stage has ever known. The ever-popular Madge Elliott and Cyril Ritchard will, of course, be the central figures in "High Jinks," splendidly supported by the excellent company at present appearing in "Roberta." The play will run for four nights and one matinee, and will be followed next Tuesday by "Our Miss Gibbs." The company's season will close on Saturday, October 19.
