LEAGUE FOOTBALL.
TO-MORROW'S ATTRACTION. AUSTRALIANS' FAREWELL MATCH. The Australian Rugby League team, which returns this afternoon from a week-end trip to Rotorua. will meet th-' Auckland Province in the sixth and filial match of its. New Zealand tour Car law Park to-morrow. The provincial side is a young aim speedy one. The Newton fiill-ba?rc Dempsey, whom many would like I" have seen in the third Test, will support
a smart three-quarter line, with Mitchell on one flank and G. Tittlcton on tho other. The latter has been playing well tiiis year and if on his toes he should bo seen to advantage. The centre wii l be his brother, W. Tittlcton, who did so well in the first Test. Kay and Riley will be familiar partners at five-eighths while .Fletcher will again be half-back. A fast, strong vanguard lias been chosen with two Mount Albert forward—Herring and Flannagan (hooker) and Hutt. The balance of the scrum is the sound Richmond Club combination — Lawless, Satherly and Tetley. !\ Hollows, the Northland forward, was unavailable. This team should I»» capable of fully extending the visitors and giving a really good display. Opportunity will probably be given (lie Auckland public of seeing several star Queensland players in action in tlie Australian team, including Whittle, who played brilliantly as custodian at Wellington, Gilbert, the clever scrum half, and several fresh forwards.
