BODY ON BEACH
IDENTIFICATION INDEFINITE
Although the identification is not yet considered definite, the body of a man found on the beach near the Stanley Bay wharf on September 21 is considered to 'be that of Mr. William Murray Christie, aged 79, widower, formerly of 138, London Street, Dunedin. Mr. Christie was once a member of the police force, and later went into business in Dunedin, in which city he was known to be in August. Since then, however, his movements are unknown. The police ask that any person who has known Mr. Christie in Auckland will communicate with them.
