DATES FOR OTAGO MATCHES. (By Telegraph.—Special to "Star.") DUNEDIN,. this day. The Otago Cricket Association has dccided to suggest to Wellington that the Plunket Shield match between Otago and Wellington at Dunedin be played on January 24, 25, 27 and 28, and to ask the Canterbury Association to fix dates in February for the Otago and Canterbury match. The chairman said that three-day matches might be played this season, as Otago and Canterbury seemed to be favourable to this course. Mr. Dunning pointed out that if threeday matches would be necessary this sipson, they would also be necessary in tae next two seasons, when other teams would be touring the Dominion. The danper of playing four-day matches was that if one day were wet. the match would be ruined as an attraction.
