MINISTER FAREWELLED.
MOUNT EDEN BAPTIST
The congregation of the Mount Eden Baptist Church on Tuesday farewelled the Rev. R. Stowarus, w"io is leaving to take charge of the Baptist Church at Thames. Mr. F. Fade, a senior deacon of the Mount Eden Church, presided. The speakers included representatives of the Eden Ministers' Fraternal, Auckland Baptist Auxiliary and Mount Eden Relief Committee, with which Mr. Stowards was connected. The Rev. G. E. Moreton referred to Mr. Stowards' work as prison chaplain. The 'church secretary, Mr. Maxwell Barker, presented Mr. Stowards with a silver service and a cheque. Miss Drew presented "ill's. Stowards with a bouquet.
