CHEESE COLOURING.
| NEW INDUSTRY FOR FIJI. (From Our Own Correspondent.) SUVA, September 23. A recent visitor from New Zealand, Mr. 11. P. Fitzgerald, manager of tho New Zealand Co-o[ierative Rennet Co., of laranaki, said that lie would suggest that a trial be given in Fiji to growing annotta, from which cheese colouring is made. At present this article comes from Jamaica, which island seems to have almost a monopoly of the trade. Mr. Fitzgerald said the sample he had seen of Fiji annotta compared most favourably with tho West Indian article. Samples of it were shown at last year's Suva show, having been grown by Mrs. It. Parliam, a well-known botanist, and a correspondent with Kow Botanical Gardens, London.
