HIGHER THOUGHT CENTRE.
There was a large attendance of mem-' bers and friends of the Higher Thought Centre at the fortnightly social conducted by Mr. and Mrs. Dickens, on Tuesday night. The hall was tastefully decorated with arum lilies and ixias. Songs by Mrs. W. Young and clarinet solos by Mr. 0. Probert were much appreciated by the large audience. A cake and fruit competition was won by Miss Connie Hubbert. Dance music was provided by the orchestra, comprising Mesdames Goldie -and McCune, Miss White and Messrs. Nielson and Chambers. Supper was served by the h >:-.tcsses, Mesdames Hubbert, Green and Deverick.
