OUR COMPETITION CORNER

An unusual competition which calls for some imagination and a little initiative is announced this week.

In section A, that is for boys and girls 12 years and over, entrants are asked to imagine a conversation between two historical characters, such as Napoleon and the Duke of Wellington.

"In section B, for boys and girls under 12, the conversation is to be between two favourite characters from a nursery rhyme or fairy tale. Make your dialogues not longer than 300 words.

All entries are to be forwarded to reach Peter Pan, care "Star" Office, Shortland Street, Auckland, before Saturday next. Four half-crown prizes ire offered in each section.
