AMATEUR ATHLETICS.
LABOUR DAY SPORTS. A varied and interesting programme of running, jumping, walking, hurdling, cycling, field, steeplechasing, cycle, and ladies' running and cycling events ha 6 •been arranged by the Auckland Amateur Athletic and Cycle Club at the request of the Labour Day celebration committee for the Labour Day carnival to be held at the Domain Cricket Ground on Monday, October 28. The three sprint events, 75yds, 150 yds and 300 yds, will count points for the Labour Day Cup, which trophy will be won outright. Nominations will close with Mr. H. T. J. McXiel, honorary secretary, on Friday, October 11, at 5 p.m.
