Beautiful weathter prevailed *for : training at Ellerslie this morning. - No. 1 grass was open, .and was in; excellent order.,'. Ringshot'and (Professional bpened Ri'pceetlings by: running three furlongs in 395. with Professional going the better of the pair at the finish. Racing Lady completed half a mile in 51 4-ss, while Kelly, lightly weighted, got to the end of six furlongs in 1.15 3-5, the last three in 38s. Tybalt strode over a round in 2.6 4-5. but was never at top. Etcetera was several lengths in front of Pasha at the end of five furlongs in 1.4 3-5. Rerepai was going easily alongside Zane Grey over four furlongs in 525. Gay Marigold and Gay Broney were on terms at the end of seven furlongs, which occupied 1.30 4-5. ■the last three taking 37 3-ss. Teddy Boy reeled off six furlongs in 1.24 2-5, while Bayora registered- 1.7 4-5 for. a.■''furlong less. There was nothing between Sir Abband Caliente at the completion of seven furlongs in 1.32 1-5, the last half-mile taking 51s. Psychologist, carrying a light boy, dashed over six furlongs in 1.17 1-5. Prince Abb and Tray Bit were on terms at the end • of: four, furlongs,, in 51 l-ss, with Trayr. Bit 'going comfortably. • Royal Appellant traversed six furlongs in l.Zi 4-5, while over a similar distance.: Royal Broney and King Mestor to'ok 1.20 ■Ls.' Persian Lady occupied 40 l-5s for thrfSJ furlongs, and Queen Brierly-. and Vera Acre recorded 38 3-os for a similar task. Gay Defence went well while running fiVe furlongs in 1.0 4-5, the last .halt-mile taking 52 l-ss. Supreme Ruler and Ruling King were not bustled to run five longs in 1.14. Valmint traversed six furlongs in 1.25 1-5, and Te and an unnamed gelding in G. Jenkins stable, reeled off three furlongs in 30 3-ss. Kik towyn was sent a touiuT, taking 1.53, the last seven furlongs occupying 1.31 3-5, and the last half-mile 50 4-ss. Arniacourt completed five furlongs in 1.4 3-5. On the tan Catoma and Baroscope got to the end of a • round in 1.56 4-5, the last half-mile .taking 55 3-53, Baroscope was going the better of ; the pair at the. finish. v,: ; ~ The Jumpers. Sir Romeo ("Williams) was just in front of Lord Val (J. Burgees) after jumping four hurdles in the. centre. Both went well. Parabola (Turvey), after jumping four hurdles satisfactorily, was afterwards sent over the steeplechase fences on the flat in company with Sir Romeo. .They got through their task' safely;. Mountain Bruce (E. Stanway) and Glenhaupo ('l'ai'vey). .-were - schooled over several hurdlM; giving: a. good exhibition.
