MANGERE CROQUET CLUB.

An enjoyable bridge and 500 afternoon in aid of the Mangere East Croquet Club was held in the bowling pavilion on Thursday afternoon, the pavilion being tastefully decorated with Iceland poppies, arum lilies, rhododendrons,

freesias and other spring flowers. The president of the club, Mrs. W. W. Massey, presented the prizes to the winners, who were: Miss Lippiatt, bridge; Mrs. E. H. Solomon, 500; and Mrs. E. R. Murphy, hidden numbers. Among those present were: Mesdames W. W. Massey, Walters, Todd, Everett, Jackson, Ellison, L. Prangley, Saussey, Henwood, Newson, Sanderson, Penman, Murphy, Chapman, Brewer, A. Yearbury, C. Smith, C. Bishop, E. H. Solomon, Misses Timms and Lippiatt.
