PAPATOETOE "AT HOME."
The ladies of the St. George's social committee, Papatoetoe, held an enjoyable "At Home" on Wednesday afternoon in the Papatoetoe Public Hall, which was decorated for the occasion with arum lilies and large branches of flowering cherry, The Rev. H. H. Bedford welcomed the visitors, among whom was a party of members of the Auckland Penwomen's Club. An enjoyable conceit programme of piano solos, elocutionary and vocal items was arranged by members of the Penwomen's Club, which included Mesdames Paul Preston, M. Rattray, H. J. Wilson, Preston-Thomas, F Hobday and Osborne, Apron, produce, cake and sweet stalls were arranged round the ball, while those assisting included Mesdames S. Stevens, Kent-Johnston, li. Peacock, Brewer, E. Hadlow, P. Taylor,, J. Hyland, Harrison, F. Burnside, Mann, T. Richards, P. G. Wyman, Bvgrave, W. Burrell, C. Elliot, Jarrett, J. Jackson, Misses K, Kimpton, Page, Gane and Roberts.
