PILOT IN THREE HOURS

"OWNER-FLOWN" 'PLANES. CHEAPER THAN MOTORING. (Special.—By Air Hail.) LONDON, September 7. Within a few davs of the abolition by the Air Ministry of the regulations governing the building and flying of fight aeroplanes, clubs formed by young air enthusiasts have sprung up all over Britain. By next summer there will bo at least 5000 young men and women flying their own machines. These young enthusiasts will form the nucleus of ail enormous reserve of pilots on whom the Government could call in an emergency. Britain has gained this tremendous lead in air development through the ability of British air engineers to build light air engines of a type which has revolutionised flying- Aeroplanes equipped with these engines can be safely flown after three hours' tuition. _ They arc cheap to make and fly. Flying, in ' fact, is now for the first time cheaper I than motoring.
