VICTORIA LEAGUE.
A delightful afternoon party was* given bv the Victoria League ever ready committee to the patients at the Knox Home. An enjoyable musical programme was rendered, songs beins sung by Mrs. H. Buisson, Mrs. Owen, Miss E. Hutchison and Miss P. Renner. Chorus songs were given by members of the girls' committee, and" sketches and recitations by the Misses Mary and Peggi Cruicksliank and Margaret Parkinson. Mrs. Tait, Miss L. de Renzy and Miss K. Hutchison acted as accompanists. Books and magazines were distributed and a delicious afternoon tea brought a very happy afternoon to an end. Among those present were: Mrs. J. B. Maefarlane (chairman of the ever ready committee), Mesdamcs L. S. Rickerby, S. Chambers, P. Chambers, Gifford, Carr-Smith, R. Mackay, W. Worrall, Bushill, Kohn, Cleal. H. D. Edgar, Maguire, Green, E. Thornton, Misses E. and" K. Iveesing, Fatcreon, Langsford and Lorie.
