REMOVAL TO BE SOUGHT. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) THAMES, Thursday. The Thames District School Committee met last evening, Mr. J. 11. Hodge presiding. It was decided to adopt the dental clinic committee's recommendations. Mr. P. L. Jcnkin said an endeavour was to bo made to have the Government levy of £30 a. year on the clinic removed. With the improved stability of tho national finances, as disclosed in the Budget, ho considered that this was one of the taxes that could well be cut out. The levy had been imposed as a measure of economy, but ho considered it was false economy. When tho clinic service had been instituted it was intended that it should be as free as possible, but the service was now being restricted by the levy burden. It was decided that a latter be sent to Mr. A. M. Samuel, M.P., asking him to take up the matter. The secretary was instructed to bring before the notice of tho Education Board tho question of staffing at tho South school. The headmaster Mr. R. G. Crawshaw, reported that the school was disorganised and less efficient, duo to the shortage of relieving teachers and the withdrawal of Miss J. L. Chalmers. It was also decided that an application be made for modern desks at the Soulii School. J
